T11 <br />I <br />641 -5.2 Furnish and Install: The Contract unit price for Prestressed Concrete Poles, <br />Furnish and Install, will consist of the pole plus all labor, concrete for the foundation and <br />other materials necessary for a complete and accepted installation as specified in the <br />Contract Documents. <br />641 -5.3 Furnish: The Contract unit price for Prestressed Concrete Poles, Furnish, <br />will include the cost of the pole and shipping, handling, and delivery of the pole to the site <br />designated in the Contract Documents. <br />641 -5.4 Install: The Contract unit price for Prestressed Concrete Poles, Install, will <br />include all labor, concrete for the foundation and other materials necessary for a complete <br />and accepted installation as specified in the Contract Documents. The Engineer will supply <br />the poles. <br />641 -6 Basis of Payment. <br />Price and payment will be full compensation for all work specified in this Section. <br />Payment will be made under: <br />Item No. 641- Prestressed Concrete Poles - each. <br />Item No. 2641- Prestressed Concrete Poles - each. <br />700 HIGHWAY SIGNING. <br />(REV 9- 20 -05) (FA 12 -6 -05) (7 -06) <br />SECTION 700 (Pages 727 -737) is deleted and the following substituted: <br />SECTION 700 <br />HIGHWAY SIGNING <br />700 -1 Description. <br />Furnish and erect aluminum or steel roadway signs, with supporting posts or <br />columns, at the locations shown in the plans, in accordance with the details shown in the <br />plans. Reflectorize all signs, and, when so specified in the plans, provide overhead signs <br />with lighting. <br />The Department designates Roadside Traffic Signs as all signs erected on the <br />shoulders, siopes, or medians, but not extending over the traveled roadway. <br />The Department designates signs erected partially or completely over the traveled <br />roadway or mounted on bridges as Overhead Traffic Signs, and may further classify some <br />of these signs as Overhead Cantilever Traffic Signs. <br />700 -2 Sign Assembly Design Requirements. <br />700 -2.1 General: Sign assemblies as specified in the plans fall into three general <br />categories: frangible support ground sign assemblies, breakaway support ground sign <br />assemblies, and overhead sign assemblies. <br />Use any combination of sign materials described below. The Contractor may <br />utilize different combinations for each type of sign assembly. However, ensure that the <br />material combination used for each type is the same within the Contract. <br />700 -2.2 Sign Panels: Use either aluminum or galvanized steel for any sign panel <br />shown in the plans, regardless of its mounting type. <br />March 2007 <br />01000 -149 <br />03- 4122.D z °' <br />
