CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH GENERAL ENGINEERING SERVICE AGREEMENT KEITH & SCHNARS, P.A. CONTRACT NO: C0708-014 THIS CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT (hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement") is made in triplicate, this \ ~ day of ~Anv~ ' 2008, by and between the CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, Florida, (hereinafter eferred to as "CIty"), and KEITH & SCHNARS, P.A. (hereinafter referred to as "Consultant") whose Federal 1.0.# is RECITALS WHEREAS, the City is in need of a consultant to provide traffic/transportation engineering services to the City, in particular a parking study to identify three specific locations within the City's northern, central and southern areas, where proposed parking structures may be located to satisfy the traffic/transportation needs within those areas; and WHEREAS, in response to the City's Request for Qualifications No. 07-07-01 and Resolution No. 2007-1188, the City qualified and ranked Consultant for the purpose of providing on-call engineering services for a various projects that may arise throughout the 2007-2008 fiscal year; and WHEREAS, Consultant has expressed the ability and desire to provide the specific services requested by City, subject to the terms and conditions contained herein, and has submitted a supplemental/amended proposal as more fully described in Attachment "A", which is attached hereto and made a part hereof; and WHEREAS, the City desires to enter into this Agreement with Consultant to provide the desired services in a total amount not to exceed Thirty Six Thousand Two Hundred and Forty Dollars ($36,240.00.00), as more fully described in Attachment "A"; and WHEREAS, this expenditure is authorized by Resolution No. 2007-1187 which amended the City's Fiscal Year 2007-2008 Budget to transfer Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00) from the Contingency Fund Contingency Account to the City's Capital Fund Consulting Services for the purposes of funding consulting services; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 2007-1187 further provides that as the need arises for specific projects and services, the City Manager is authorized to spend up to $20,000.00 per project, based on proposals from the list of qualified preapproved consultants, with any projects over $20,000.00 requiring Commission approval. NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing and for the mutual covenants, representations and warranties and other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and adequacy of which is hereby acknowledged, the parties agree as follows: C0708-0l4 KEITH & SCHNARS, P,A.
