<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, <br />REAPPOINTING JUDGE ROBERT NEWMAN, MAURICE <br />DONSKY, SONJA K. DICKENS, AND JIMMY L. MORALES <br />AS SPECIAL MASTERS, FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR, IN <br />ACCORDANCE WITH CITY CODE SECTION 14-3; <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 14-3 of the City of Sunny Isles Beach Code provides that appointments <br />of Special Masters shall be made by the City Manager, as needed, on the basis of experience for a <br />term of one year; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Section 14-3 provides that reappointments shall be submitted to the City <br />Commission for ratification; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Judge Robert Newman and Maurice Donsky were previously re-appointed last <br />year, and Sonja K. Dickens, Esq. and Jimmy L. Morales were newly appointed last year as Special <br />Masters; and the City being satisfied with their excellent work as Special Masters desires to <br />reappoint them; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, they have all acted as Special Masters for other municipalities in Miami-Dade <br />County. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Reappointments of Special Masters. The City Manager's reappointments of Judge <br />Robert Newman, Maurice Donsky, Sonja K. Dickens, and Jimmy L. Morales as Special Masters for <br />a period of one year, are hereby ratified by the City Commission, in accordance with City Code <br />Section 14-3. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />Effective Date.
