<br />The signs shall be painted and lettered in accordance with professional outdoor sign painting <br />standards as to layout, symmetry, proportion, clarity, neatness and use of weather-resistant colors and <br />materials. <br /> <br />The Contractor shall place the signs, securely braced and mounted, as directed by the Engineer. All <br />materials shall be provided by the Contractor and the signs shall remain the property of the <br />Contractor at the completion of the Contract: No work shall commence until the Project Signs are <br />secured in Place. Project signs will be paid under Item No. 102-61. <br /> <br />7. Permits and Licenses: <br /> <br />Section 7-2.1 - General: This sub-article is amended to include the following: <br /> <br />Permits which are issued by the City of Sunny Isles Beach, and Dade County Department of <br />Environmental Resource Management for construction within the public right-of-way, as well as <br />additional permits, which may be required by other agencies, including those required for tree <br />removal, will be the responsibility ofthe Contractor. <br /> <br />The Contractor is encouraged to read cautiously the specific conditions of the permits in order to <br />comply fully with their requirements. Any expenditure caused by these specific conditions and not <br />covered in the Bid Form shall be included in the Bid Price of this project. <br /> <br />Additional permits, which may be required by other municipalities, F.D.O.T. or agencies, including <br />those requiring pollution control appurtenances, tree removal and/or tree relocation, water lines, <br />among others will be the responsibili ty of the Contractor. The actual amount paid for the permits will <br />be reimbursed to the Contractor out of the Contingency Allowance. Original receipts must be <br />presented to the Engineer. <br /> <br />8. Field Office: <br /> <br />The Contractor will provide at his expense, an air conditioned field office for the use of the Engineer, <br />of not less that three hundred (300) square feet area. The office shall have a lockable door with two <br />(2) keys furnished to the Engineer and a least two (2) operable windows of a minimum total area of <br />twelve (12) square feet. The office shall be equipped with electric lighting and at least four (4) dual <br />110 volt receptacles. New furnishing to be supplied by the Contractor shall include: Two (2) desks <br />with two (2) chairs each, One (1) lockable steel vertical filing cabinet (4 drawer-legal size), One (1) <br />table having a surface area of3 X 5 feet, with six (6) chairs; a metal locker (anchored to the floor) of <br />a size suitable for storing field testing and surveying equipment. A telephone shall also be provided <br />for the convenience of the Engineer. Cost of electricity and telephone services shall be the <br />responsibility of the contractor during the entire construction period. <br /> <br />This office and its equipment, in particular the telephone, shall not be used by the Contractor. <br /> <br />No work shall commence until the Field Office is completely set up and the electricity, telephone and <br />air conditioning (or heat) are functioning, unless authorized by the Engineer. <br /> <br />9.
