<br />r <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008- ~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, NAMING 170 STREET, FROM <br />COLLINS AVENUE TO THE WEST END OF THE PROPERTY, AS <br />"RAANAN KATZ BOULEVARD", AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO EXPEND FUNDS, IN AN AMOUNT OF UP TO <br />$600.00, FOR THE INSTALLATION OF STREET SIGNS AND TO <br />DO ALL OTHER THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE <br />INTENT OF THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission held a Special City Commission Meeting on Friday, <br />February 8, 2008, regarding Settlement Options for Eminent Domain Case "City of Sunny Isles <br />Beach vs. 18100 Collins Avenue Shopping Center, Ltd. Et. AI., Case No. 04-12891CA 10"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as part of that settlement, the City Commission approved naming 170 <br />Street, from Collins Avenue to the west end of the property, as "Raanan Katz Boulevard". <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approval of Street Naming. The City of Sunny Isles Beach formally approves <br />and requests the approval of Miami-Dade to name 170 Street, from Collins Avenue to the west <br />end of the property, as "Raanan Katz Boulevard". <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to <br />disburse funds to Miami-Dade County for the installation of street signs and to do all other things <br />necessary to effectuate the intent of this resolution. <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br />Effective Date.
