<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2009- l ~~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING IN CONCEPT <br />THE RENOVATION OF THE FIRST FLOOR OF THE <br />GOVERNMENT CENTER; PROVIDING FOR A TOTAL PROJECT <br />BUDGET IN THE AMOUNT OF SEVENTY-FIVE THOUSAND <br />DOLLARS ($75,000.00); PROVIDING THAT ANY AGREEMENTS <br />BE APPROVED AS TO FORM AND LEGAL SUFFICIENCY BY <br />THE CITY ATTORNEY; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER <br />TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS <br />RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the offices of the Cultural and Human Services Department on the first floor of <br />Government Center have moved over to the Pelican Community Park; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission has expressed a desire to renovate the first floor of the <br />Government Center to provide office space for an Information Center, as well as other offices; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission would like staff to proceed with this renovation project in <br />an expeditious manner; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to set a total budget for the project in an amount <br />not to exceed Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($75,000.00); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this renovation project shall be subject to the provisions of the City Code, <br />specifically Chapter 62 Purchasing, to include that agreements in the amount of $1 0,000 or more <br />shall require Commission ratification; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, any and all agreements for goods and services must first be approved as to form <br />and legal sufficiency by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approval of Proiect. The City Commission hereby approves in concept the <br />Government Center First Floor Renovation Project, in an amount not to exceed Seventy-Five <br />Thousand Dollars ($75,000.00), provided that any and all agreements are approved as to form and <br />legal sufficiency by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager.
