RESOLUTION NO. 2009- '3<65 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, RATIFYING THE APPROVAL OF THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN FORTIN, LEAVY, SKILES, INC. AND THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, TO PROVIDE PLATTING SERVICES FOR THE GOVERNMENT CENTER, IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($25,000.00), ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND/OR DESIGNEE TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the property lines of the Government Center includes City Hall and the Tony Roma's property; and WHEREAS, the City is in need of a Surveyor to prepare a tentative plat to subdivide the Government Center parcel into two separate parcels; and WHEREAS, Fortin, Leavy, Skiles, Inc. has agreed to perform the desired platting services for the Government Center an amount not to exceed Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00). NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Ratify the Agreement. Approval for the Agreement with Fortin, Leavy, Skiles, Inc. to provide platting services for the Government Center, in an amount not to exceed Twenty- Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00), attached hereto as Exhibit "A", be, and the same, is hereby ratified. Section 2. Authorization of City Manager and/or Designee. The City Manager and/or Designee are hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution. Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of February, 2009. ?NJ'f7/~, orman S.
