A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, <br /> Establishing the City of Sunny Isles Beach Proposed Ad Valorem Tax Millage Levy <br /> Rate at 2.400 Mills per$1,000.00 of Taxable Assessed Value Which is 5.06%More than the <br /> "Rolled Back"Rate of 2.2844 Mills, for Fiscal Year 2016/2017; Setting the Date,Time and <br /> Place for the First and Second Public Budget Hearings as Required by Law; Directing the <br /> City Clerk and City Manager to File this Resolution with the Property Appraiser of Miami- <br /> Dade County Pursuant to the Requirements of Florida Statutes and the Rules and Regulations <br /> of the Department of Revenue of the State of Florida; Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> Action: City Clerk Hines read the title,and City Manager Russo reported this is a reduction <br /> in millage rate from 2.500 to 2.400 and this is the fifth year the City has lowered the millage <br /> rate. Mayor Scholl said we are at the bottom of the percentile of the County,we are No. 6 or <br /> No. 7. We have not gotten the reports from the County yet. City Manager Russo said our <br /> assessed value tops $10 Billion. The public hearings are scheduled on Tuesday, September <br /> 6, at 5:30 p.m., and on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. <br /> Public Speakers: None <br /> Commissioner Levin moved and Vice Mayor Gatto seconded a motion to approve the <br /> resolution.
