CONTRACTOR(S) PETROLEUM, OIL, lUBRICANT (POL) SPillS The Contractor(s) shall be responsible for reporting to the City Debris Manager and cleaning up all petroleum, oil. lubricant (POL) spills caused by the Contractor(s)'s operations at no additional cost. Immediate containment actions shall be taken as necessary to minimize effect of any spill or leak. Cleanup shall be in accordance with applicable Federal and local laws and regulations. Spills other than on-the-site shall be reported to the National Response Center, and the City Debris Manager immediately following discovery. A written follow-up shall be submitted to the City Debris Manager not later than 7 days after the initial report. The written report shall be in narrative fonn, and as a minimum shall include the following: . Description of the material spilled (including identity, quantity. etc.). . Detennination as to whether or not the amount spilled is EPA/State reportable. and when and to whom ~ was reported. . Exact time and location ot spill, including description ot the area involved. . Receiving stream or waters. . Cause of incident and equipment and personnel involved. . Injuries or property damage. . Duration ot discharge. . Containment procedures initiated. . Summary ot all communications the Contractor(s) has had with press or other officials. . Description ot cleanup procedures employed or to be employed at the site, including disposal location ot spill residue. . Corrective actions taken to prevent reoccurrence ot similar event.
