Grandinetti, Police Captain <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />7/1612009 <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />Authorization to expend up to $24,700 with Gold Nugget d/b/a <br />Argo Uniforms for the purchase of police department uniforms and <br />accessories. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution <br />authorizing the City Manager to approve the expenditure of budgeted funds in <br />the amount up to $24,700. (Twenty four thousand seven hundred dollars) to Gold <br />Nugget d/b/a: Argo Uniform Company for the purchase of new and replacement <br />uniforms for all uniformed employees of the Police Department. <br /> <br />REASONS: <br /> <br />The need to purchase and replace uniforms worn by officers and civilians <br />representing the Police Department, has necessitated that we utilize a vendor <br />who has a local facility and stocks uniforms in quantity to serve the department's <br />needs. <br /> <br />Gold Nugget d/b/a Argo Uniform Company stocks recommended uniforms and <br />styles utilized by our department.
