Preview <br /> <br />Page 2 of2 <br /> <br />our current under cover detectives (2) and our School Resource Officer (1) back <br />to the patrol division. These reassignments will cause a tremendous void in the <br />areas of school security and valuable criminal intelligence gathering and <br />enforcement. <br /> <br />In addition to staffing cuts, the police department will also be forced to cut most <br />new vehicle purchases as well as vehicle rental agreements (Detective Bureau) <br />for FY09/10. <br /> <br />In order to assure adequate staffing levels and reliable equipment, it is requested <br />that we be permitted to utilize up to $ 510,000.00 of said funds on deposit for the <br />below listed purpose. <br /> <br />All of the below listed items are authorized expenditures and are designed <br />towards drug interdiction, community safety programs, crime prevention <br />programs, staffing resources and the enhancement of law enforcement <br />equipment as well as legal costs associated with the asset forfeiture process. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />.
