Grandinetti, Police Captain <br /> <br />10/15/2009 <br /> <br />Sungard Public Sector Software Maintenance <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution <br />authorizing the City Manager to approve the expenditure of budgeted funds in <br />the amount of $57,032.48 to Sungard Public Sector, Inc. for an annual service <br />agreement to include technical support and software upgrades for the Police <br />computer system. <br /> <br />REASONS: <br /> <br />The City entered into an agreement with Sungard-OSSI in May 2006 for the <br />purchase of a state- of-the-art Police computer system that provides the Police <br />Department with a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) System, Records <br />Management System (RMS), Mobile Computing Terminals (MCT) and a Mobile <br />Field Reporting (MFR) System. This proprietary software solution has proven to <br />be the leader in public safety software in Miami-Dade County as well as many <br />other cities and states throughout the country. The annual service agreement <br />provides annual software upgrades as well as technical support throughout the <br />year. <br /> <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br /> <br />Sungard Public Sector, Inc. is also contracted by cities such as; Aventura, North <br />Miami Beach, Miami Gardens, Doral, Pinecrest, Miami-Dade School Police, <br />Broward Sheriff's Office. <br /> <br />FUNDING SOURCE: <br /> <br />http://sibagenda.sibfl.net/agenda/Preview.aspx?I temID= 101 &MeetingID=O&MeetingDate... 10/5/2009 <br />
