THRESHOLD INSPECTION SERVICES <br /> <br />We understand that the inspection services will be per the Threshold Inspection Plan, which is <br />developed by the Engineer of the Record. <br /> <br />Threshold Inspection is required for the following items: <br /> <br />1. Concrete <br /> <br />. Check compliance of the shoring layout with shoring drawings; <br />. Check compliance of the formwork layout with contract drawings; <br />. Check that all debris has been removed before concrete placement. <br /> <br />2. Reinforcing Steel <br /> <br />. Verify grade, size, quantity and spacing of reinforcing bars for compliance with <br />contract documents; <br />. VerifY that reinforcing is adequately supported to resist displacement or shifting <br />during pour. <br /> <br />3. Post Tension Measurements and Observation <br /> <br />. VerifY that all tendons have been delivered and stored properly at the job site and are <br />not damaged prior to usage; <br />. Inspect placement, stressing, grouting and protection of post-tensioning tendons; <br />. VerifY that tendons are correctly positioned, supported, tied and wrapped; <br />. Record tendon elongations. <br /> <br />4. Miscellaneous Structures <br /> <br />. Retaining wall; <br />. Shear wall; <br />. Elevator shaft; <br />. Installation and post tension of ramps cable barriers; <br />. Exterior "V" system (the type to be selected by the contractor); <br />. Exterior Fiber-glass grating; <br />. Exterior wire rope vine training system. <br /> <br />Duties and Responsibilities of the Threshold Inspector <br /> <br />. The Threshold Inspector Agent shall observe the work assigned to verify that it <br />conforms to the approved design drawings and specifications; <br />. The Threshold inspector shall furnish inspection reports to the building official, and <br />to the engineer or architect of record. All discrepancies shall be brought to the <br />immediate attention of the contractor for correction; then, if uncorrected, the design <br />authority and the building official. All inspection reports shall reflect the date of the <br />drawing and if revised the date of revision. <br /> <br />4 <br />
