<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008 - 1")",,99 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AWARDING BID NO. 08-06-02 TO AND <br />ENTERING INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH STOCKTON MAINTENANCE <br />GROUP, INC., FOR JANITORIAL MAINTENANCE SERVICES, IN AN <br />ANNUAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED THIRTY <br />THOUSAND DOLLARS ($130,000.00) FOR THREE (3) YEARS WITH AN <br />OPTION OF TWO (2) MUTUALLY AGREEABLE RENEWAL TERMS OF <br />THREE (3) YEARS EACH, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE SAME FORM AS <br />THE AGREEMENT ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A", PROVIDING <br />THAT ANY CHANGES ARE APPROVED AS TO FORM AND LEGAL <br />SUFFICIENCY BY THE CITY ATTORNEY, BASED ON THE PRICING, <br />TERMS, AND CONDITIONS LISTED IN THE BID RESPONSE, <br />ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "B"; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR <br />TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE <br />TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach is in need of a qualified contractor for janitorial <br />maintenance services for its facilities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City issued and advertised Bid No. 08-06-02, for Janitorial Maintenance <br />Services, for which seven (7) responses were received; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff, based on a careful review of the line items and consideration for the <br />Contractor's reputation, has determined that the bid response from Stockton Maintenance Group, Inc, <br />attached hereto as Exhibit "B", is the lowest responsible responsive bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to award Bid No. 08-06-02 to and enter into an agreement with <br />Stockton Maintenance Group, Inc. to provide Janitorial Maintenance Services on a unit price basis, <br />in an annual amount not to exceed One Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($130,000.00), for three <br />(3) years with an option of two (2) mutually agreeable written renewals of three (3) years each, in <br />substantially the same form as the agreement attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Incorporation of Recitals. The recitals set forth in this resolution are incorporated <br />herein by reference as if fully set forth herein. <br /> <br />Section 2. Award of Bid and Approval of Agreement.
