RESOLUTION NO. 2016- 2B3 <br /> 3 <br /> • <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING <br /> THE SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT <br /> WITH SAFEWARE, INC. TO EXTEND THE TERM OF <br /> THE AGREEMENT TO END NO LATER THAN JANUARY <br /> 14, 2017, ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; <br /> AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID <br /> SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT; <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL <br /> THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS <br /> RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, on June 18, 2015 via Resolution No. 2015-2425 the City Commission <br /> approved an Agreement with Safeware, Inc. to install and maintain security, access control, and <br /> network connectivity at Gateway Park, in an amount of $188,691.33 with an additional 10% <br /> contingency for any unforeseen additions, in an amount of$18,869.13, for a total not to exceed <br /> amount of Two Hundred Seven Thousand Five Hundred Sixty Dollars and Forty-Six Cents <br /> ($207,560.46); and <br /> WHEREAS, on May 19, 2016 via Resolution No. 2016-2553 the City Commission <br /> approved the First Amendment to the Agreement with Safeware, Inc. to provide core drilling <br /> services, floor x-ray services, and the installation of electrical infrastructure at Gateway Park, in <br /> an amount not to exceed Twenty-Six Thousand Three Hundred Twenty-Seven Dollars and <br /> Eighty-Five Cents ($26,327.85), for a total not to exceed amount of Two Hundred Thirty-Three <br /> Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty-Eight Dollars and Thirty-One Cents ($233,888.31); and <br /> WHEREAS, the City now needs to extend the term of the Agreement from September <br /> 16, 2016, to end no later than January 14, 2017; and <br /> WHEREAS, Safeware, Inc. has expressed the ability and desire to provide these services <br /> to the City through the US Communities Government Contract "Homeland Security & Public <br /> Safety/Emergency Preparedness" Contract #4400001839; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City wishes to approve the Second Amendment to the Agreement with <br /> Safeware, Inc. to extend the term of the Agreement to end no later than January 14, 2017, <br /> attached hereto as Exhibit "A", and all terms and conditions of the original Agreement dated <br /> June 29, 2015 shall remain in full force and effect. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE • <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> R2016-Safeware Inc 2nd Amd To Agnt Gateway Park Page 1 of 2 <br />
