Section covers clearing, grubbing, stripping and demucking of the <br />construction site, complete as specified herein. <br /> <br />B. Clear and demuck the area within the limits of construction as required, <br />including drainage easements. The width of the area to be cleared and <br />demucked shall be established by the Engineer prior to the beginning of <br />any work. <br /> <br />1.02 RELATED WORK <br /> A. Section 02444: Fencing <br /> <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS (Not Used) <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> <br />3.01 CLEARING <br /> <br />A. The surface of the ground, for the area to be cleared and grubbed shall be <br />completely cleared of all timber, brush, stumps, roots, grass, weeds, <br />rubbish and all other objectionable obstructions resting on or protruding <br />through the surface of the ground. However, those trees which are <br />designated by the Engineer shall be preserved as hereinafter specified. <br />Clearing operations shall be conducted so as to prevent damage to <br />existing structures and installations, and to those under construction, so <br />as to provide for the safety of employees and others. Clearing for <br />structures shall consist of topsoil and vegetation removal.
