<br />1.4 RESERVATION OF RIGHTS <br /> <br />While pursuing this RFQ process, the City reserves the right to <br /> <br />. Accept any or all responses, and the right, in its sole discretion, to accept the consultants it <br />considers most favorable to the City's interests. <br />. Reject any and all qualifications and to seek new qualifications when such a procedure is <br />reasonably in the best interest of the City. <br />. Investigate the financial capability, integrity, experience, and quality of performance of each <br />consultant, including officers, principals, senior management, and supervisors, as well as staff <br />identified in the response to RFQ. <br />. Investigate the consultants' qualifications or any of its agents, as it deems appropriate <br />. Conduct personal interviews of any or all prospective consultants prior to selection (the City <br />shall not be liable for any costs incurred by the consultant in connection with such interviews). <br />. Waive any of the conditions or criteria set forth in this RFQ. <br /> <br />1.5 SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />The City is soliciting professional engineering services for civil engineering related work to design a <br />streetscape for the west side of Collins Avenue the entire length of the City. This will include, but is <br />not limited to, the following tasks: <br /> <br />. Surveying <br />. Possible geotechnical exploration <br />. Utility location and planning <br />. Environmental considerations <br />. Traffic flow issues <br />. Landscape architecture <br />. General design work <br />. Possible preparation of complete construction contract plans and special provisions for the <br />assigned projects <br />. Public involvement <br /> <br />The City contemplates the Engineering firm team including (but not limited to) the mInImUm <br />following disciplines. <br /> <br />. Engineers <br />. Planners <br />. Economists <br />. Landscape Architects <br /> <br />The intent is to have the consultants provide a viable holistic approach to the design process. The <br />final product must be economically feasible, it must have community and business buy-in, and it must <br />be aesthetically pleasing. <br />
