. . . A. TECHNICAL COMPETENCE Team Experience WA has reviewed the requirements of the RFQ and has assembled a highly qualified Project Team that fulfills all of the technical demands of this Project. In addition to the technical expertise, the Project Team provides the City with unique capability to guarantee that the original vision and coordination that went into the Master planning is not lost as the project moves from concept to design. The Project Team also provides the City with highly competent civil/roadway engineers, drainage engineers, planners and land- scape architects. The firms and their roles on the Project Team are summarized below. WA will be the prime consultant, and as such will provide overall project management and serve as the sole point of contact for the City of Sunny Isles Beach. In addition, WA will provide primary engineering and documentation services. All senior level management and production personnel, including the Project Manager, Aris Garcia, AlA are located in this office. Bliss & Nyitray Engineers will provide structural engi- neering services. Bliss & Nyitray and WA share a good standing relationship and have teamed up on nu- merous successful projects. O'Leary Richards Design Associates, will provide landscaping design ser- vices. Ms. Kathryn O'Leary, who has been involved in similar type projects, will head up this effort, includ- ing the grant writing for Heritage Park and Evelyn Langlieb Greer Park, which was done in collaboration with W A. In order to achieve the City's goals, WA will schedule and attend regular meetings and workshops wherein ideas are exchanged in an open forum. We anticipate charettes either in our office or at the Owner's premises, wherein our design team will sketch Concepts and ideas for quick critique and review. We have found this practice to be extremely well received, significantly reducing design time and confusion. A pic- ture, or in this case a sketch, is invaluable to communicate a design direction. WA possesses the design capability, organization, resources, management structure, related experience and, most importantly, the commitment to meet the challenge of this project. With in-house capabilities in Design, Architecture, Me- chanical and Electrical Engineering, WA is positioned to provide the City of Sunny Isles Beach with the creative enthusiasm and technical leadership to achieve the transformation envisioned for this property. The implementation of the necessary tasks required for the ultimate successful completion of this project requires an approach wherein the project is to treat the entire process as one continuous flow of work and build upon the events and decisions that have already been made. Project Manager Experience As a Vice President of WA, Mr. Aris Garcia, AlA, is both a registered Architect and Interior Designer and manages all phases of planning and project development and design from preliminary concepts and pro- gramming to final production. Mr. Garcia served as both the Project Manager and Project Designer for the Evelyn Langlieb Greer Park, the Suniland Park and the Village of Palmetto Bay Library and Community Center at Bayside Park. Mr. Garcia is located in WA's main office at 1500 San Remo Ave., Coral Gables, FL 33146, Phone 305-666-5474. The Project Manager will be the Team's single point of contact for the City of Sunny Isles Beach, as well as for all other entities and agencies. The Project Manager, with the support and assistance of the Archi- tectural and Engineering Coordinators, will be responsible for assigning resources of the Team to the vari- ous work tasks, and maintaining regular communication as to progress of work with the City's Project Manager. He will oversee the overall design and production effort, and will monitor project schedule and identify problems / issues to be resolved in a timely manner.
