LPA RESOLUTION NO. 2016- 10 A RESOLUTION OF THE LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COMMISSION OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH THE APPROVAL OF THE ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 265- • 34, 265-36 AND 265-38 OF THE CITY CODE TO PERMIT DENSITY BONUSES FOR WORKFORCE/AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN ACCORDANCE WITH GUIDELINES ESTABLISHED FOR AFFORDABLE WORKFORCE HOUSING; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Commission, serving as the Local Planning Agency ("LPA"), conducted a public hearing relating to the Land Development Regulations on December 10, 2002 and adopted the Land Development Regulations by Ordinance No. 2002-165; and WHEREAS, the City Commission, as the LPA, has reviewed the amendment to Sections 265-34, 265-36 and 65-38 of the City Code to permit density bonuses for Workforce/Affordable Housing in accordance with guidelines established for Affordable Workforce Housing; and WHEREAS, the LPA has determined that it is in the best interest of the City and its residents to recommend approval of the Ordinance amending Sections 265-334, 265-36 and 265-38 of the City Code. • NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Recommendation: That the Local Planning Agency hereby recommends to the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach approval of the Ordinance amending Sections 265- 34, 265-36 and 265-38 of the City Code to permit density bonuses for Workforce/Affordable Housing in accordance with guidelines established for Affordable Workforce Housing.
