BUILDING DEPARTMENT FEE SCHEDULE AOOl A022 A023 A002 A003 (RES] A004 (COMM] A005 A024 A035 A. GENERAL INFORMATION ON SPECIAL FEES, REFUNDS, EXTENSIONS AND CANCELLATIONS 1. DOUBLE FEES When work for which a permit is required is commenced prior to obtaining a permit, the permit applicant will be required to pay 0 ne hundred dollars ($100.00) P Ius a double permit fee. T he payment of the required fee shall not relieve them from being subject to any of the penalties therein. The double fee requirements shall be applicable to all divisions of the Building Department as noted herein. For second offense of doing work without a permit, the permit applicant shall be required to pay twice the double permit fees pIus two hundred dollars [$200.00]. For each offense thereafter, the permit applicant shall be required to pay twice the double permit fee plus five hundred dollars [$500.00]. 2. RE-INSPECTION FEES A permit holder shall be entitled to an initial inspection for each mandatory inspection. All work shall be inspected and deficiencies shall be noted by the building inspector. When the work to be inspected is only partially complete, the inspection shall be performed on those,.~g~.~.,g!1~..~!.!~~ work completed, provided that compliance with the South Florida Bailding Code I_~_ may be determined with respect to those portions. A permit holder shall pay a fee of $50.00 for eac~,..~~~!~~g!!1!~!'!'I!~~g~~!!~g~! required to assure compliance with the South Florida Building Code .:I:'~.w:;;;;._I,\.1I beyond the initial and one follow-up inspection. All additional inspection fees shall be paid prior to a final inspection being conducted and may be paid by mailing the required fee to the City of Sunny Isles Beach Building Department. 3. LOST, REVISED AND REWORKED PLANS FEE (a) LOST PLANS: When plans for new buildings and additions are lost by the owner or contractor, a recertification fee will be required to review, stamp and approve a new set of plans as a field copy. Such fee shall be based on 30 percent of the original building permit fee, with a minimum fee for Group I [single family residence] of $50.00 dollars and a minimum fee for all others of $90.00. (b) REVISEDPLANS PROCESSING FEE: (1) Major plan revision after permit is issued shall be subject to a fee of 50% of the original permit fee. (2) Minor plan revisions shall be subject to a fee at the rate of$1.00 per minute of time for each review that takes longer than 5 minutes. (3) Minor plan revision fee minimum fee $50.00.
