ORDINANCE NO. 2006- ';)(.5 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 22 OF THE SUNNY ISLES BEACH CODE, ENTITLED "DEPARTMENTS"; PROVIDING FOR THE SEPARATION OF THE ZONING, PLANNING AND BUILDING DEPARTMENT; PROVIDING FOR THE CREATION OF AN ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR REPEALER; PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION IN THE CODE; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Chapter 22 of the Sunny Isles Beach Code by creating certain departments for the purpose of systematically and efficiently administering the operations of the City of Sunny Isles Beach; and WHEREAS, the operating budget and the functioning ofthe City now demands the revision of City departments by separating the Zoning, Planning and Building Department, and creating an Engineering Department; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 22-1 is hereby amended as follows: A. Citv Departments: For the purpose of systematically and efficiently administering the operations of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, the following departments of government within the City are hereby established: 1. Office of the City Manager 2. Finance Department 3. Office of the City Attorney 4. Office of the City Clerk 5. Zoniag, PlarJling!!HEI Bllilding Depar'.meat Planning and Zoning Devartment 6. Building Department 7. Administrative Services Department 8. Police Department 9. Public Works Department 10. Cultural and Human Services Department 11. Human Resources Department 12.
