Dispersion Method: Under this method the adult uses would be dispersed <br />throughout the City to prevent concentration. The dispersion is generally <br />accomplished by requiring separation distances between adult oriented <br />businesses and between "sensitive uses" such as residences, parks, schools, <br />places of worship, etc. <br />3. Hybrid Method: Under this approach a variation of the concentrated model is use <br />used, but separation distances are also established <br /> <br />The Planning Board felt that the hybrid method would be the most applicable to <br />conditions of the City. <br /> <br />Approaches used bv other communities in the County: <br /> <br />The Planning Board reviewed the following summary of the adult use regulations in the <br />following selected communities with Saratoga County: <br /> <br />Town of Wit Ion (1998); <br />Prohibited adult uses if located: <br />Within 1,000 feet of any church, school, park, etc. <br />Within 500 feet of another adult use. <br />Permits adult uses in the C-3 Commercial/Light Industrial District upon the issuance <br />of a special use permit. <br /> <br />Town of Halfmoon (2000): <br />Prohibited adult uses if located: <br />Within 1,000 feet of any residential property, church, park, cemetery, etc <br />Within 1,500 feet of any school. <br />Within 2,500 feet of any place where alcoholic beverages are sold. <br /> <br />Town of Moreau (2002): <br />Permits adult uses in a M1A District upon the issuance of a special use permit. <br />Prohibited adults uses if located: <br />Within 500 feet of a residential use. <br />Within 2,500 feet of any church, school, park, etc. <br />Within 1,000 feet of another adult use. <br /> <br />Possible locations for adult uses within the City: <br /> <br />During the public review process the public or the Planning Board identified the following <br />areas and evaluated them for the possible siting of adult uses within the City: <br /> <br />Possible site that could be considered under the "hybrid method": <br />Northern portion of Grande Industrial Park.
