Resolution No. 2009-1381 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> <br />lOG. A Resolution ofthe City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Approving <br />the Purchase of Fifty (50) Colt Commando (M4) Rifles, Vehicle Racks and Associated <br />Equipment and Accessories for the Special Purpose Tactical Firearms Program from <br />Colt Defense LLC, in the Amount Not to Exceed $70,000,00, Attached Hereto as Exhibit <br />"A"; Authorizing the City Manager to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate this <br />Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date, <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and Police Captain Michael Grandinetti reported, <br /> <br />Public Speakers: none <br /> <br />Commissioner Goodman moved and Vice Mayor Thaler seconded a motion to approve the <br />resolution. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Approving <br />the Purchase of Ten (10) Handheld P7250 Police Radios and Associated Accessories <br />from Miami-Dade County, Enterprise Technology Services Department, in the Amount Not <br />to Exceed $42,600,00, Attached Hereto as Exhibit "A"; Authorizing the City Manager to Do <br />All Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date, <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and Police Captain Michael Grandinetti reported. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: none <br /> <br />Mayor Ede1cup asked in general what happens to the old equipment, and Captain Grandinetti <br />said we will keep these radios to use for emergencies such as a hurricane, and with the buy- <br />out of the cellular company, as part of their agreement they are responsible for coming in and <br />trading us one-for-one any radio we have in place, Police Chief Fred Maas said we can also <br />sell the old equipment like we do our vehicles, and Mayor Edelcup said we also can donate <br />them to an organization that really needs them. <br /> <br />Commissioner Brezin moved and Vice Mayor Thaler seconded a motion to approve the <br />resolution. Resolution No. 2009-1383 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> <br />101. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Approving a <br />Payment to the Miami-Dade County Public Schools, in the Amount Not to Exceed <br />$754,743.00, for Work Completed at the Sunny Isles Beach Community School, <br />Including Drainage and Pavement Around the Community School, Maintenance of Traffic <br />Around the Atlantic Boulevard Area, and the Perimeter Right-of-Way Around the <br />Community School, Attached as Exhibit "A"; Authorizing the City Manager to Do All <br />Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and Acting City Manager Conner reported that this is <br />payment for work that is part of the Central Island Drainage Project We entered into an <br />agreement with the School for $721,302, but there is a $33,441 change order that they have <br /> <br />6 <br />
