A Proclamation to be Presented to Father Thomas G. Honold upon his Retirement from St. <br />Mary Magdalen Church. <br />Action: Police Chief Fred Maas introduced Father Thomas Honold and gave him back his <br />Badge to serve in a part-time capacity as Police Chaplain, and presented him with a miniature <br />replica of a Sunny Isles Beach Police Car. Mayor Edelcup read the Proclamation into the <br />record and along with the Commission and Cultural and Human Services Director Susan <br />Simpson, presented it to Father Honold. <br /> <br />6. ZONING <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />7. ORDINANCES FOR FIRST READING <br /> <br />7A. An Ordinance ofthe City Commission ofthe City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Amending <br />Chapter 256 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Sunny Isles Beach to Include Bicycle <br />Rules and Regulations; Providing for Penalties and Enforcement; Providing for <br />Severability; Providing for Inclusion in the Code; Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and Vice Mayor Thaler reported that most of the <br />rules and regulations are already in affect by Miami-Dade County but we did add the <br />reflectors and the light requirement on the bicycles. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: Eric Nadel <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Thaler moved and Commissioner Scholl seconded a motion to approve the <br />proposed ordinance on first reading. The motion was approved by a roll call vote of 5- <br />o in favor. An Ordinance of the City Commission ofthe City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Amending <br />Ordinance No. 2008-309 and Ordinance No. 2009-331, Regulating Intersections <br />Determined to be Dangerous; Providing for Recorded Image Monitoring and Enforcement <br />of Red Light Traffic Control Signals Consistent with General Law as Provided by Chapter <br />2010-80, Laws of Florida (2010) ("The Mark Wandall Traffic Safety Act"); Providing for <br />Adoption of Representations; Repealing All Ordinances in Conflict; Providing for <br />Severability; Providing for Inclusion in the Code; Providing for Savings, Ratification and <br />Reservation of Rights; Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and City Manager Conner reported, noting that the <br />State recently passed legislation which requires us to have an ordinance in place that conforms <br />to the State's requirements.
