<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2010- J 5'7 () <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING <br />MAINTENANCE AGREEMENTS WITH PROTECTION ONE <br />FOR SECURITY SYSTEM MAINTENANCE AT THE <br />GOVERNMENT CENTER AND PELICAN COMMUNITY <br />CENTER, IN A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED <br />TWENTY-FOUR THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED EIGHTY <br />DOLLARS ($24,680.00), ATTACHED HERETO AS <br />COMPOSITE EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENTS; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS <br />NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City is currently using ADT Security Services, Inc. for maintenance services <br />of the City's security equipment located at the Government Center and at the Community Center at <br />Pelican Community Park; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the agreement with ADT expired in May 2010, and the City is continuing <br />services with ADT on a month-to-month basis; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City is in need of maintenance service of those systems, and solicited <br />written quotes from three vendors including ADT, of which Protection One was the lowest <br />responsive responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Protection One has provided a proposal for these services, and Protection One is <br />qualified, willing and able to provide the desired services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to enter into Maintenance Agreements with <br />Protection One, attached hereto as Composite Exhibit "A", in a total amount not to exceed Twenty- <br />Four Thousand Six Hundred Eighty Dollars ($24,680.00), for maintenance of the security systems at <br />the City facilities for a one-year period. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approval of Maintenance Agreements. The City Commission hereby approves the <br />Maintenance Agreements with Protection One for maintenance services ofthe security system in the <br />Government Center and the Pelican Community Center, in a total amount not to exceed Twenty-Four <br />Thousand Six Hundred Eighty Dollars ($24,680.00), attached hereto as Composite Exhibit "A". <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorization of Citv Manager.
