<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2010 - l (PO \ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH <br />MUNICIPAL CODE CORPORATION FOR SUPPLEMENTATION <br />SERVICES OF THE CITY'S CODE OF ORDINANCES INCLUDING <br />RESEARCHING, EDITING, INDEXING, AND PUBLISHING IN PRINT AND <br />ELECTRONICALLY THE ENACTED LEGISLATION FOR INCLUSION IN <br />THE CODE FOR A PERIOD OF THREE (3) YEARS WITH AUTOMATIC <br />RENEWAL, A TT ACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS <br />RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City is in need of supplementation services of the City's Code of <br />Ordinances including researching, editing, indexing, and publishing in print and electronically the <br />enacted legislation for inclusion in the Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff obtained quotes from our current vendor General Code, and from <br />Municipal Code Corporation and American Legal Publishing Corporation, and it was found that <br />Municipal Code Corporation was the most responsive responsible company for this service; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Municipal Code Corporation is the oldest and largest codifier of local <br />government Codes, and is based in Florida but operates nationwide; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Municipal Code Corporation provides access to the best search engines, the <br />fastest internet connections, advanced communication channels and sophisticated publishing tools; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to enter into an agreement with Municipal Code Corporation for <br />supplementation services of the City's Code of Ordinances for a period ofthree (3) years and will be <br />automatically renewed from year to year provided that each party may cancel or change this <br />Agreement with sixty (60) days written notice, attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approval of Agreement. The City Commission hereby approves the agreement with <br />Municipal Code Corporation for supplementation services of the City's Code of Ordinances <br />including researching, editing, indexing, and publishing in print and electronically the enacted <br />legislation for inclusion in the Code for a period of three (3) years with automatic renewal, attached <br />hereto as Exhibit "A". <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />Authorization ofMavor.
