Edelcup, Mayor <br /> <br />IJVlf <br /> <br />October 14,2010 <br /> <br />Charitable Contribution to United Way of Miami-Dade <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution authorizing a <br />charitable contribution to the United Way of Miami-Dade. <br /> <br />REASONS: <br /> <br />The United Way of Miami-Dade's mission is building community by helping people care for one <br />another, and working to advance the common good by creating opportunities for a better life for <br />all. Their focus is on improving education, income and health - the building blocks for a good <br />life, with a goal to create long-lasting changes that prevent problems from happening in the first <br />place.
