gMIIINIR MARINI
CONSIRUCTION INC

Demolition/Reconstruction Sunny Isles Beach/Newport Fishing Pier at Pier Park
RFP #10-07-02

In this section we have included several examples of our past projects that indicate our ability to
successfully construct a similar marine project:

1) North Carolina Aquarium Pier at Nags Head, NC - Clancy & Theys Construction Co.
Project consisted of construction of a 1,200 LF pier, extending into the Atlantic Ocean at Nags
Head, North Carolina. The pier was constructed on 24" prestressed concrete piles, with precast
pile caps 40' on center. The caps were spanned with 30" prestressed beams which had
embedded timber nailers to secure the timber pier decking. The 10,000 SF three story pier house
was constructed by the prime contractor after Misener Marine completed erection of the first
200 LF of the pier. The pier under the building was erected on 24" piles with precast pile caps,
beams and deck panels. Pier construction was completed from multiple temporary trestles, up
to 1,200 feet long, allowing for an accelerated construction schedule, with the remaining pier and
pier house being constructed simultaneously. Additional work included installation of FRP
grating and unistrut for the pier utilities, erection of three wind turbines, and support to the
prime contractor for the construction the pier house. This was a 14 month project completed in
August, 2010, with a project value of $9.9 million.

2) Venice Beach Fishing Pier - City of Venice Beach, FL
Scope of work consisted of construction of a 720 LF fishing pier from the beach extending into
the ocean at Venice Beach, Florida.

3) Panama City Municipal Fishing Pier, Panama City, FL - City of Panama City, FL
Construction of a 1,400 LF fishing pier using structural innovations developed by our Engineering
Department, from the beach to the ocean in Panama City, Florida.

4) Coastal Field Research Facility Pier, Duck, NC - U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
Construction of a 1,840 LF U.S.A.C.O.E. research facility pier using a temporary steel trestle for
access in Duck, North Carolina.

S) Fort DeSoto Park Egmont Channel Fishing Pier - Pinellas County, FL
Construction of a concrete fishing pier on the Egmont Channel side of Fort DeSoto Park, Florida.

6) Fort DeSoto Park Gulf Fishing Pier - Pinellas County, FL
Construction of a 1200 LF fishing pier on the Gulf side of Fort DeSoto Park, Florida.

7) Indian Rocks Beach Fishing Pier - Pinellas County, FL
Construction of a 1,040 LF fishing pier in the Gulf of Mexico, Indian Rocks Beach, Florida.

8) Redington Beach Long Pier - Pinellas County, FL
Construction of a 1,021 LF pier in the Gulf of Mexico, Redington Beach, Florida.

3

Demolition/Reconstruction Sunny Isles Beach/Newport Fishing Pier at Pier Park, RFP #10-07-02
