. WA has a unique history and performance level for on-call / term contracts for public agencies. We have held successive term contracts with the Dade County Public School system since 1991. In that time we have performed literally hundreds and hundreds of assignments for DCPS. The firm has the ability to complete numerous projects, including simultaneous project assignments. All senior level management and production personnel, including the Project Manager, Rafael Labrada are located in this office. In order to achieve the City's goals, WA will schedule and attend regular meetings and workshops wherein ideas are exchanged in an open forum. We anticipate charettes either in our office or at the Owner's premises, wherein our design team will sketch Concepts and ideas for quick critique and review. We have found this practice to be extremely well received, significantly reducing design time and confusion. A picture, or in this case a sketch, is invaluable to communicate a design direction. WA possesses the design capability, organization, resources, management structure, related experience and, most importantly, the commitment to meet the challenge of this project. With in-house capabilities in design, architecture, mechanical and electrical engineering, WA is positioned to provide the City of Sunny Isles Beach with the creative enthusiasm and technical leadership to achieve the transformation envisioned for this property. The implementation of the necessary tasks required for the ultimate successful completion of this project requires an approach wherein the project is to treat the entire process as one continuous flow of work and build upon the events and decisions that have already been made. Project Manager Experience As Assistant Director of Architecture for WA, Rafael Labrada, AlA, LEED AP, will act as Project Manager for this contract and managed all phases of planning and project development and design from preliminary concepts and programming to final production. Mr. Labrada is located in WA's main office at 1500 San Remo Ave., Coral Gables, FL 33146, phone 305-666-5474, rlabrada@wolfbergalvarez.com. The Project Manager will be the Team's single point of contact for the City of Sunny Isles Beach, as well as for all other entities and agencies. The Project Manager, with the support and assistance of the Architectural and Engineering Coordinators, will be responsible for assigning resources of the Team to the various work tasks, and maintaining regular communication as to progress of work with the City's Project Manager. He will oversee the overall design and production effort, and will monitor project schedule and identify problems/issues to be resolved in a timely manner. He will establish and implement the Team's quality assurance/quality control process, and will be responsible for scheduling internal project reviews of all submittals before they are delivered to the client.
