The beachwalk measures approximately 3,400 feet by 15 <br />feet and connects to five street ends. Adequate ramp slopes and curves were provided to <br />. . comply with ADA requirements and to accommodate emergency vehicles. <br />.... \ <br /> <br />Coastal Systems worked closely with the Department of Environmental Protection Bureau of <br />Beaches and Coastal Systems, Dade County Department of Environmental Resource <br />Management and the City of Miami Beach to obtain state and local approval. Extensive <br />public meetings were held to acquire authorization from the riparian upland owners. Civil <br />engineering drawings included grading, pavin~, and drainage as well as utility service <br />connections and street end designs to extend 1 i and 18th Streets.
