<br />SURVEYING AND MAPPING SERVICES
<br />The Survey Department at Keith and Schnars offers a full range
<br />of surveying and mapping services including: Boundary Surveys,
<br />Legal Descriptions, Topographic Surveys, Horizontal and Vertical
<br />Control, Profiles and Cross Sectioning, Right of Way Mapping,
<br />Monumentation of Right of Way Corridors, Bridge Data Surveys,
<br />DigitalTerrain Models (D.T.M.), Hydrographic/Bathymetric Surveys,
<br />Specific Purpose Surveys,American LandTitleAssociation Surveys,
<br />Wetland/Mitigation Surveys, Environmental Surveys, Platting,
<br />Expert Witness Testimony, Construction Surveys, Record and As-
<br />built, Route, Electronic Field Book/GIS Mapping, all mainstream
<br />versions of CADD/GIS Differential Leveling, Global Positioning
<br />Systems (G.P.S.), Engineering Design Surveys, and other surveying
<br />and mapping related services. Our field crews have extensive
<br />experience in performing all types of surveys and are equipped
<br />with state of the art equipment, including EFB compatible Total
<br />Stations, G.P.S., digital levels and reflector-less instruments.

<br />Our field staff have received the M.OT. training currently required
<br />by the Florida Department of Transportation. Keith and Schnars
<br />is Florida's leading GPS surveying firm. Our GPS equipment
<br />includes modern Trimble Dual-Frequency Receivers.

<br />STRUCTURAL AND
<br />BRIDGE DESIGN SERVICES
<br />Keith and Schnars has provided structural engineering services to
<br />the Florida Department of Transportation, County governments,
<br />municipal road departments,and numerous private developers.This
<br />experience includes design, permitting, and project development.
<br />Our current service offering includes a wide array of services.
<br />We assist governmental agencies with plan phase reviews and
<br />constructability plan reviews and provide engineering and related
<br />services on all types of bridge projects, from small access road
<br />bridges, to major bridges providing vital transportation links:
<br />Project Development and Environmental (PD&E) Studies, bridge
<br />development reports, bridge and associated retaining wall design,
<br />bridge inspection and bridge rehabilitation, bridge construction
<br />engineering and inspection, and structural design of overhead
<br />signs, signal mastarms, lighting, and box culverts. We also provide
<br />engineering and related services for other miscellaneous
<br />structural projects, from piers and docks, to utility crossings and
<br />supports, to boardwalks, marinas, and pedestrian bridges
<br />
<br />STORMWATER MANAGEMENT SERVICES
<br />Our Water Resources Group offers a wide range of hydrologic,
<br />hydraulic and water related studies from simple flood (drainage)
<br />studies to complex stormwater management programs. We
<br />understand the challenges of stormwater management in Miami-
<br />Dade County. Consequently, we employ a wide variety of
<br />software's in solving complex stormwater management issues.
<br />The list of software includes HEC-HMS (HEC-I), HEC-RAS
<br />(HEC-2),AdICPR, SWMM, HSPF, UNET Goepak Drainage,ASAD
<br />and others. The utilization of these tools aid in the design of
<br />culverts, gravity wells, exfiltration systems levees canals and flow-
<br />ways, pump stations, seepage barriers, stormwater treatment
<br />areas, surface water storage areas and water control structures,
<br />Our experience includes stormwater quantity and quality master
<br />planning, stormwater retrofit projects, facilities analysis and design,
<br />
<br />erosion and sedimentation engineering, environmental permitting,
<br />municipal NPDES stormwater permitting and compliance
<br />programs, and a host of ecological and biological services.

<br />ENVI RONMENTAL AN D
<br />PERMllTI NG SERVICES
<br />Our environmental specialties include environmental assessments,
<br />permitting, and mitigation /remediation. Our environmental
<br />assessment capabilities include identification of environmental
<br />conditions of a site with a focus on ecology or contamination.
<br />Our ecological assessments include identification of habitat
<br />type, the predominant species per habitat type, and areas of
<br />ecological concern. Mitigation construction observation and
<br />post construction monitoring are also provided. Our firm has
<br />navigated our clients through numerous traffic concurrency
<br />studies, procedures and ordinances since the late 1980's. Our
<br />firm is familiar with the legislative processes for special districts
<br />and annexation, having been involved in legislation from inception
<br />to adoption. Our civil and highway engineering projects have
<br />included permitting through all federal, state and local government
<br />agencies (ACoE, FDOT, FDEp, SFWMD, local municipalities, etc.).

<br />TRAFFIC ENGINEERING
<br />Keith and Schnars has a well-known reputation of performing
<br />numerous traffic engineering services for our clients. Some
<br />examples of these abilities include:

<br />. Safety Studies: FDOT District 6 (General Safety Studies
<br />Consultant) and the City of Boca Raton: Keith and Schnars
<br />was engaged in a series of work order studies to evaluate
<br />intersection and roadway conditions along with operations
<br />and crashes to provide recommended actions to address the
<br />safety issues.
<br />. Traffic Signal Warrant Studies for both private and public
<br />clients including, among others, SR-A I A and Cortes Street
<br />(Colonial Development and City of Fort Lauderdale), NW
<br />8th Street and NW 136th Street (Sunrise Dev.), Broward
<br />Boulevard and NW I 18th Avenue (City of Plantation), and
<br />proposed Andrews Avenue Extension/Martin L. King Boulevard
<br />(FOOT 4).
<br />. Corridor Analyses: Fort Lauderdale Beach Transportation
<br />Improvements PD&E Feasibility Study (City of Fort Lauderdale):
<br />Keith and Schnars recently completed a PD&E Study focused
<br />on providing roadway and transit improvements for the Fort
<br />Lauderdale Beach corridor along SR-A I A and Sea breeze
<br />Boulevard from Holiday Drive to SR-838 (Sunrise Boulevard).
<br />SR-A I A Arterial Investment Study, Cocoa Beach (FDOT
<br />District S): Keith and Schnars successfully completed the
<br />traffic operations evaluation of this II.S-mile long corridor
<br />that extends from Patrick AFB north to the Canaveral Port
<br />Authority.
<br />. Urban/Suburban Street Systems: Fort Lauderdale Downtown
<br />Master Plan/Mobility Study (City of Fort Lauderdale and
<br />Downtown Development Authority). Krome Avenue Action
<br />Plan (FDOT District 6), and Central Plantation Mobility Study
<br />(City of Plantation).
