He also prO\'ided the operator training <br />for these systems. The cooling to\ver makeup system is <br />a 3000-gpm system comprised of an integral ballasted <br />t10w type clarifier and multimedia filter. <br /> <br />He served as Owner's environmental engineer in <br />support of the conceptual design, licensing and <br />permitting of the water systems for three cycle Exelon <br />pO\ver projects in the greater Boston area - ~Iystic, Fore <br />R.i\'er and ~Iedway. <br /> <br />He completed design of the t\[asinloc Project in the <br />Philippines, two - 300MW coal fired plants which began <br />operation on schedule in 1998. He \vas responsible for <br />design, procurement and field Sllpport of the <br />clectrochlorination system, demineralized water <br />treatment system, wastewater treatment system, tra\'eling <br />water screen, steam/water analysis system, raw water <br />system, potable water system and selyice water system. <br /> <br />He has conducted due diligence reviews of water and <br />wastewater treatment systems at cogeneration facilities, <br />including a zero-discharge solar energy facility, a zero- <br />discharge coal-fired cogeneration plant, and a zero- <br />discharge coal waste fired plant. <br /> <br />He has designed modifications to the stormwater <br />collection system at the Petersburg Generating Station <br />of Indianapolis Power and Light. The project required <br />the segregation of process wastewater and potentiall~' <br />contaminated stormwater mnoff from noncontaminated <br />runoff and included the design of lined channels, <br />underground piping, lift stations and oil/water <br />separators. He also prepared the Erosion Control Plan <br />for the construction of wet limestone Flue Gas <br />Desulfurization systems for Petersburg Units I and 2. <br /> <br />Relevant Experience <br /> <br />1973 - Present, Shaw Environmental & <br />Infrastructure, Inc. <br />Mirant Dickerson, Chalk Point and Morgantown <br />FGD Wastewater Systems. Modified plant \vater balance to incorporate water <br />use and waste\vater discharges from FGD system. <br />Prepared detailed study and cost estimate for the FGD <br />wastewater system. Supported the evaluation of the <br />impact of rGD wastewater discharge on the Patapsco <br />River in accordance with ~Iaryland \vater quality <br />standards. <br /> <br />Prepared bid specification, conducted bid evaluation and <br />prepared purchase recommendation for makeup water <br />and rGD wastewater system suppliers. <br /> <br />Reliant Keystone FGD Wastewater Treatment <br />System. De\'eloped the conceptual and detailed design <br />of wastewater and makeup water treatment system to <br />support the retrofit of a wet limestone scrubber to the <br />coal fired power plant. t\Ioclified plant water balance to <br />incorporate water use and waste\vater clischarges from <br />FGD system. Prepared detailed study and cost estimate <br />for the FGD wastewater system, including an evaluation <br />of a zero wastewater discharge system using e\'aporative <br />based technology. Supported the evaluation of the <br />impact of FGD wastewater discharge on Crooked Creek <br />and the Allegheny River in accordance with <br />Pennsylvania water quality standards. <br /> <br />Prepared bid specification, conducted bid evaluation and <br />prepared purchase recommendation for FGD <br />wastewater system supplier. <br /> <br />PPL Montour and Bruner Island FGD Wastewater <br />Treatment Systems.
