<br />Role. URS is the site civil consultant for the fire training facility (FTF). This project covers 42:f: acres on the old Cross
<br />State Landfill site, On the lower at grade level of the site there are two (2) major buildings, Administration Building and the
<br />Apparatus Building, On top of the existing landfill (closed in the 1970's) are the majority of the fire training props. Site civil
<br />design included paving, grading and drainage, water, sewer, fire lines, including 3 on-site sanitary lift stations and a sanitary
<br />a. force main connecting to an existing off-site force main, Issues of concern during the storm water drainage design included
<br />adequate storage of the existing lake (requiring expansion for ultimate buildout of the FTF and other tenant uses, Portions of
<br />the site fall within the C-51 Flood Basin and required compensatory storage provisions due to the proposed filling of the C-
<br />51 Basin flood plain for the construction of building pads and parking lots at the southeast portion of the site,

<br />(3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION AND SPECIFIC ROLE

<br />The Borland Center is a 47-acre mixed-use land development project within the Northern Palm Beach County Improvement
<br />District (NPBCID) in Palm Beach Gardens. The developer RAM Development Company, is building this mixed use
<br />development in several phases, and has contracted with URS to provide surveying, platting, building condominium
<br />documents, water, sewer, storm water management design and pennitting with the South Florida Water Management District
<br />(SFWMD), coordination of the SFWMD permitting with the Unit 2 permitting being perfonnedby NPBCID, site earthwork
<br />analysis, grading, and utilities design and permitting with Seacoast Utilities, and construction phase services for the site
<br />b. infrastructure systems, Project also included the design of two (2) exclusive right turn lanes (pennitted with FDOT) and two
<br />(2) signalized intersections (pennitted with FDOT and PBC Traffic Division).The stormwater management system consisted
<br />of catch basins, positive drainage piping system, and construction of an 8-acre on-site lake with an overflow control
<br />structure, We have also participated in the Development Review Committee (DRC) process with the City of Palm Beach
<br />Gardens staff, and are working with a multi consultant team to provide integrated design and planning services for changing
<br />this raw undeveloped tract of property located at PGA Boulevard just west of Military Trail into a sensational mixed use
<br />project with multi-family housing, commercial and retail uses, and a 3,000 seat cultural center for local perfonnances and the
<br />home of the Palm Beach Community Church.
