<br />Tha,nk ym lor requesting our fiml to represent The City of Slmny Isles Beach with regard
<br />to the collective bargaining process with the Policc Benevolent Association. We look forward to
<br />working with you nn this matter.

<br />At the initiation of cHch new matter, it is the policy of this firm to expressly agree upon a
<br />fee arrangcmcn1 f(j, the work to be undertaken in such matter. In this matter, our fee for legal
<br />scrvic(~s will bt~ calculated at the hourly ratc of $170 for attorneys and $125 for legal assistants.
<br />We estimate that the overall budget for this project should be $75,000, but the actual
<br />expenditures f()T fees and costs will depend on the difficulty and length of the negotiation and
<br />ratiiication process. These standard hourly rates arc subject to change from time to time.
<br />Invoices will be prepared and sent to you on a monthly basis.
<br />
<br />[n addition, you will be billed monthly f()[ the costs incurred in connection with our
<br />rcpre:~c;itatien, Costs g(:ncrally include serving and filing fees, express delivery services, travel
<br />expemes, copying expens{~s, long distance telephone expenses, etc. Costs also include any
<br />m~cessary fces for court reporters, appraisers, escrow agents, expert witnesses, accountants,
<br />abstractors, surveyors, and other such services. Other than f()r the items indicated, we will not
<br />incur mw unusual (:08t Items without first consulting with you.

<br />All mvoiccs are due and payable upon receipt. Intcrest will be charged on any
<br />past due balances not paid within 30 days at the rate of 12% per annum. We are entitled
<br />to collect from you any expenses, costs, and attorney's fees, including appeal, for
<br />coHeetion of unpaid balances.
