<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach |Request for Qualifications No. 16-12-01 19 <br /> <br /> <br />Firms submitting a proposal to this RFQ shall include detailed information addressing the <br />following criteria: <br /> <br /> <br />An agenda item to the City Commission will be prepared requesting the designation of, <br />and the authorization to negotiate with, one or more of three (3) firms deemed to be the <br />most qualified to perform the services required by this RFQ. The City Manager retains full <br />discretion to authorize negotiations, award or reject a contract, or authorize expenditures <br />in the best interest of the City. <br /> <br />The City Manager shall begin negotiations with the first most qualified firm for professional <br />services at compensation in which the City determines is fair, competitive and reasonable. <br />The City reserves the right to conduct pre-award discussion and/or pre-contract <br />negotiations with the most qualified firms who submit qualifications determined to be <br />reasonably acceptable of being selected for award. In the event the City Manager cannot <br />negotiate a satisfactory contract with the first most qualified firm, negotiations shall begin <br />with the second most qualified firm. This process shall be repeated, each time moving to <br />the next most qualified firm. If the third most qualified firm cannot be negotiated with <br />successfully, the project is to be reevaluat ed and considered for re-advertising. Upon <br />successful negotiations with a firm, a City Commission agenda item-recommending award <br />to said firm will be prepared. <br /> <br />The City reserves the right to reject any or all submittals, to waive any irregularities or <br />informalities in any submittal or in the RFQ procedures, and to accept or reject any item <br />or combinations of items. The award will be to the firm whose submittal complies with all <br />material requirements set forth in this RFQ and who is the most qualified in the sole <br />discretion of the City, taking into consideration all aspects of the firm’s response. <br /> <br />END OF SECTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Evaluation Criteria <br />Professional Qualifications, the respondent shall be licensed to do business <br />in the State of Florida. Specific project experience relating to local <br />Government, and similar type projects providing services of the type <br />required by this RFQ <br />Size of workforce, workload and availability of personnel per location <br />Financial stability and past record <br />Ability to complete projects on schedule and within budget <br />Is firm or sub-consultant a certified minority business enterprise <br />References
