Spillis Candela /Kha Le -Huu provided reliable and timely
administration of the design process, which included sub-
stantial coordination with the Florida State Bureau of His-
toric Preservation, the City of Orlando Historic Preserva-
tion Department, and 12 individual Specialty Consultants.
A number of issues were encountered that pertained to
budget constraints, site design, exhibit design and his-
toric preservation. Spillis Candela /Kha Le -Huu was al-
ways professional and responsive in developing viable
design solutions, and meeting the Historical Museum's
complex requirements.
Joel E. Baugh, Project Manager
Orange County Government
Construction Administration
•
"... We were lucky that we were able to persuade the Com-
missioners to work in design meetings to evolve an ac-
ceptable design and we were really fortunate to have a
firm that could maintain its integrity of design while at the
•
same time reacting to important suggestions made by
the Historic District Commission members and their pro-
fessional consultants. At no time in our deliberations did
Spillis Candela (Howard Melton and his team) ever balk
i
at the suggestions made from whatever source. They
submerged their egos in favor of their considerable tal-
ent and attacked each obstacle with imagination and
competence. The bottom line is we were able to obtain
•
approval for our design and we are in the process of com-
pleting our Courthouse... "
S
Jerome W. Klasmeier, Central Services Officer
•
Anne Arundel County, Maryland
•
•
SPIMS Candela omim
•
