A) Planning and Zoning <br />1) Professional planning services in connection with providing day -to day ongoing <br />planning and zoning functions; <br />2) Review and process all applications for zoning permits; <br />3) Develop policies and procedures relating to planning and zoning activities. <br />4) Provide information to the public; and <br />5) Act as liaison between the City and all local and state planning departments. <br />B) Engineering <br />1) Professional engineering services in connection with providing day -to day <br />ongoing engineering functions to the City; <br />2) Review all applications for engineering permits as may be directed by the City <br />Manager; <br />3) Coordinate the activities of other engineering firms working on capital projects; <br />4) Develop policies and procedures relating to engineering standards; <br />5) Act as liaison between the City and other governmental agencies; <br />6) Prepare studies and reports including but not limited to: <br />i. Attendance at meetings as requested by City. <br />ii. Documentation of needs. <br />iii. Investigation of alternative projects and feasibility studies. <br />iv. Provide project cost estimates. <br />V. Prepare and review bid advertisements, information to bidders, <br />proposals, performance bonds and contracts and provide assistance <br />throughout entire bid process. <br />7) Capital Projects: <br />i. Assist in the development of the Capital Improvement Plan including <br />identifying needs and funding sources. <br />ii. Administer Capital Improvements Program. <br />iii. The following items shall be by separate fees on a project by project <br />basis: <br />a. Design capital improvements. <br />b. Bid capital improvements. <br />C. Construction administration and inspection. <br />C. Traffic Engineering <br />1) Professional traffic engineering services and transportation planning in <br />connection with providing day -to -day ongoing traffic engineering and <br />transportation planning functions to the City; <br />2) Review all applications regarding traffic engineering; <br />3) Develop policies and procedures relating to traffic and transportation activities; <br />4) Act as liaison between the City and all local and state transportation <br />departments, as may be directed by the City Manager; and <br />5) Work with applicable city staff on grants and other projects permits related to <br />traffic and FDOT issues. <br />Page 2 of 10 <br />Municipal Contract Services Rfq <br />
