2.2. Alternatives — There are two alternatives on which to bid, with respect to this project, as <br />shown on the attached plans. <br />Alternative 1: For the fabrication and installation of 300 lineal feet of white Aluminum <br />Picket Fence of which 261' are lineal at 6 feet high and 30' long are at 16 inches of <br />height and two adjacent rolling gates, an electronic code - controlled keypad system and a <br />personal entry gate, all with specifications given in this bid for this particular job (see <br />attached sketch). <br />Alternative 2: For the fabrication and installation of 700 lineal feet of white Aluminum <br />Picket Fence of which 600' are lineal at 6 feet high and 100' long at 16 inches of height <br />and two adjacent rolling gates, an electronic code - controlled keypad system and a <br />personal entry gate, all with specifications given in this bid for this particular job (see <br />attached sketch). <br />2.3 A) Scope. <br />i. Pickets are 1" x 1" aluminum tubes. An aluminum decorative cap is to be <br />welded on each one of the pickets. <br />ii. Top and Bottom 2" x 1" punched thru horizontal channels. <br />iii. Anchor posts are to be 3" x 3" every six lineal feet apart and 2 ' /2' deep into <br />the concrete footing. <br />iv. Two adjacent rolling gates will be installed on the Atlantic Boulevard <br />(west -side) ten feet inside the property line marked by the existing CBS <br />wall. <br />V. One of these twelve feet wide rolling gates will control all incoming traffic <br />by an electronic code - controlled keypad installed on the Atlantic <br />Boulevard side entrance. <br />vi. All vehicles exiting the parking lot will trigger a one free exit photocell. <br />vii. Another six feet high by four feet long personal entry gate will be installed <br />on the east side of the property and entry will be regulated by another <br />computerized access control key pad. <br />viii. In addition, 30" lineal feet of aluminum picket fence 16" high will be <br />installed on top of the CBS wall or in the case of alternative #2, one <br />hundred nine lineal feet of the same fence. <br />ix. Consequently, all electrical work is to be included in this bid as well as the <br />removal of the chain link fence and the building of two concrete slabs for <br />the rolling gates. <br />B) Execution <br />Examination <br />a. Verify areas to receive fencing are completed to final grades and <br />elevations. <br />b.
