SECTION 03251 <br />IJOINTS <br />PART 1 -GENERAL <br />' <br />1.01 WORK INCLUDED <br />A. Furnish all materials, labor, equipment and incidentals required to make <br />all joints tight in the concrete as detailed on the Drawings and as <br />specified herein. <br />1.02 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Submit shop drawings showing placement of forms, form joints major <br />inserts and blockouts in accordance with Section 01340. <br />1.03 RELATED WORK <br />A. Section 03300: Cast -In -Place Concrete <br />1 PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.01 EXPANSION JOINTS - FLOOR <br />A. Floor expansion joints shall be types UX -FIOO and UX -JIOO 1 -inch <br />joint systems as manufactured by MM Systems Corporation, Tucker, <br />iGeorgia or approved substitution. <br />B. <br />Retainers shall be extruded aluminum alloy 6063 -T5. Aluminum <br />retainers shall be chemically treated to prepare surfaces for complete <br />adhesion of the sealant. <br />C. <br />Sealant shall be an elastomeric material capable of allowing <br />multi - directional movement while maintaining cohesion and adhesion <br />' <br />capabilities. The sealant shall have a maximum hardness of Shore <br />D412. The <br />A25 with tensile strength and elongation to meet ASTM <br />sealant shall perform between temperatures of -20AF and 150AF. <br />' <br />Moisture vapor transmission shall meet ASTM C355. <br />D. <br />The joint assembly shall be capable of a minimum of 50 percent <br />rmovement <br />in any direction from the normal position. <br />E. <br />All aluminum surfaces in contact with concrete or masonry shall <br />receive one sprayed -on, factory applied coat of baked -on epoxy <br />primer. <br />03251 -1 03- 4138.A -R <br />09/03 <br />
