<br />INVITATION TO BIDDERS
<br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
<br />OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH is seeking sealed bids for the following work
<br />as specified.
<br />SEAWALL REPLACEMENT & RESTORATION
<br />183rd St. Seawall Replacement,
<br />Atlantic Avenue Seawall Restoration &
<br />Atlantic Avenue Bridge Revetment Restoration
<br />C &A Project No. 03 -135
<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach Bid No. 04 -01 -01
<br />Sealed bids for the construction of the SEAWALL REPLACEMENT &
<br />RESTORATION consisting of 183rd St. Seawall Replacement, Atlantic
<br />Avenue Seawall Restoration & Atlantic Avenue Bridge Revetment
<br />Restoration will be received by the City of Sunny isles Beach.
<br />Bids shall be on a unit price basis; segregated bids will not be accepted.
<br />Sealed bids will be received by the City Clerk until 10:00 a.m., on
<br />Thursday, March 4, 2004 at the City of Sunny Isles Beach, City Hall
<br />located at 17070 Collins Avenue, Suite 250, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida,
<br />33160. Each bidder must submit one original and five (5) copies of the
<br />complete bid package. The envelope containing the sealed bid must be
<br />clearly marked "IMPORTANT -BID ENCLOSED FOR SEAWALL
<br />REPLACEMENT & RESTORATION [BID NO. 04- 01 -011". Faxed or
<br />e- mailed bids will not be accepted. Bids received after this time will be
<br />returned unopened. Bids submitted will be opened publicly and read at
<br />this time.
<br />A MANDATORY PRE -BID Conference is scheduled for 10:00 a.m.,
<br />Thursday, February 19, 2004 at the City of Sunny Isles Beach, City Hall
<br />located at 17070 Collins Avenue, Suite 250, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida,
<br />33160 (305) 947 -0606. ALL CONTRACTORS PLANNING TO SUBMIT
<br />A BID ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THIS MEETING. Contractors
<br />should allow sufficient time to ensure arrival prior to the indicated time.
<br />Bids from those who have failed to attend will not be accepted. Contrac-
<br />tors arriving past1he indicated time will not be eligible to submit a bid.
<br />Bidders may obtain complete sets of Bidding Documents from the City
<br />Clerk's Office at 17070 Collins Avenue, Suite 250, Sunny Isles Beach,
<br />Florida, 33160 upon payment of $95.00 per set, check payable to The
<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach. Payment amount is non - refundable. Partial
<br />sets of Bidding Documents will not be available. If bidding documents are
<br />to be mailed, an additional separate payment of $30.00 for each set to
<br />cover shipping and handling, shall be made payable to the City of Sunny
<br />Isles Beach. Payment in full must be received by the City Clerk's Office
<br />prior to the issuance of the Bid Documents.
<br />Bid security in the amount of five percent (5 %) of the Total Bid must
<br />accompany the Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
<br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach reserves the right to reject any or all Bids,
<br />with or without cause, to waive technical errors and informalities, and to
<br />accept the Bid, which best serves the interest of the City of Sunny Isles
<br />Beach.
