' <br />PART 2 <br />PRODUCTS <br />2.01 TREE PROTECTION FENCING <br />' <br />A. <br />Tree protection fencing shall be mesh 6 ft. high minimum, with 4 "x4 "x6' <br />pressure treated wood posts. <br />B. <br />Posts shall be spaced 1Oft. o.c. maximum. <br />C. <br />Fencing other than that specified above shall be subject to the approval of <br />the Architect. <br />PART 3 <br />EXECUTION <br />' <br />3.01 INSTALLATION <br />OF FENCING <br />A. Prior to start of demolition work and clearing and grubbing operations, tree <br />protection fencing shall be installed in accordance with the following: <br />1. Fencing shall be installed at the tree protection areas as directed <br />by the Landscape Architect. <br />2. Fencing shall be located along the cut and fill lines staked by the <br />project surveyor and approved by the Architect and Owner. <br />' 3.02 ROOT PRUNING <br />A. Where construction will be in close proximity to existing trees designated <br />to remain, roots shall be pruned. Proximity shall be as determined in the <br />field by the Architect. Root pruning shall be performed as specified in <br />Section 02490 TREES, PLANTS AND GROUND COVERS. <br />' 3.03 CLEARING WITHIN PROTECTION AREAS <br />A. Selective clearing within tree protection areas shall only be performed <br />' when and as directed by the Architect. <br />3.04 REMOVAL OF PROTECTION <br />' A. Except as otherwise indicated or requested by Architect, temporary <br />protection devices and facilities installed during course of the work shall <br />' be removed only after all work which may injure or damage trees and <br />plants is completed. <br />I END OF SECTION <br />05/04 01532 -2 03 -4465 <br />
