Addendum 3 <br />This addendum is being issued to inform potential bidders of various clarifications and minor <br />changes. <br />Bid Extension <br />The bid submission deadline and public bid opening is <br />being postponed by one week, to 10:00 AM on Friday <br />September 17, 2004. <br />Clarifications <br />• On page 17715 -1 delete paragraph 1.2 (A). <br />• On page 17715 -4 delete paragraph 2.3 (F) 1. The City has decided to go with the <br />economy model, CB II -e, at all call station locations. <br />• Change the last sentence of paragraph 2.1 (C) on page 17715 -3 to read "Standby <br />batteries, UPS system, or both (provided by security installer) shall provide power <br />for minimum of 30 minutes for all equipment. Generator standby power (not <br />provided by security installer) shall provide emergency long -term power." <br />• Change the second sentence of paragraph 2.2 (C) on page 17720 -5 to read "Standby <br />batteries, UPS system, or both (provided by security installer) shall provide power <br />for minimum of 30 minutes for all equipment." <br />• Change the second sentence of paragraph 2.4 (C) on page 17725 -5 to read "Standby <br />batteries, UPS system, or both (provided by security installer) shall provide power <br />for minimum of 30 minutes for all equipment." <br />• Delete section 2.5 on page 17720 -5. <br />• Delete section 2.6 on page 17720 -6. <br />• Delete section 2.7 on page 17720 -6 <br />• Delete section 2.8 on page 17720 -6. <br />• Add paragraph 2.3 (I)on page 17725 -5 as follows: <br />I. System must be rack - mountable on a standard 19" equipment rack (provided <br />by owner). <br />• Additional camera information: Additional camera detail has been provided. See <br />revised Exhibit "A ". <br />• Additional unit price bid items have been added to access control section; REX <br />buttons and TREX PIR units. See revised Exhibit "A ". <br />• All CCTV cabling (RG59, CATS, and 18/2) is routed to a single location within the <br />facility. Therefore, all DVR units shall be located in this location. <br />• Security installer must apply for any required permits, which shall be issued at no <br />charge by the City of Sunny Isles Beach. <br />• Backboxes for security camera locations shall not be provided in any drop - ceiling or <br />drywall ceiling mount location. Any supplies, equipment, labor, etc must be supplied <br />by the security installer in the bid amount. <br />• Backboxes for security camera locations that are surface mount on concrete may be <br />provided, but installer must be prepared to mount camera direct to concrete without <br />backbox should the backbox location not be exactly where the camera is to be <br />mounted. The cables would be surface run from the backbox location to the camera <br />in this case. <br />• Any PC server or computer required for the system can be included at the vendor's <br />option. The City would prefer to supply all necessary PC hardware (we use DELL to <br />supply PC's and servers), but requirements for such must be clearly specified in the <br />
