1.05 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING <br />A. St. Augustine "Floratam" Grass <br />1. Deliver sod on pallets. <br />2. Protect root system from exposure to wind or sun. <br />3. Protect sod against dehydration, contamination, and heating during <br />transportation and delivery. <br />4. Do not deliver more sod than can be installed within 24 hours. <br />5. Keep stored sod moist and under shade, or covered with moistened burlap. <br />6. Do not pile sod more than 2 feet deep. <br />7. Do not tear, stretch, or drop sod. <br />1.06 JOB CONDITIONS <br />A. Begin installation of sod after preceding related work is accepted. <br />B. Environmental Requirements: <br />1. Install sod during months acceptable to the Architect. <br />2. Do not install sod on saturated soil. <br />C. Protection: Erect signs and barriers against vehicular traffic. <br />1.07 GUARANTEE <br />A. Guarantee sod for period of twelve months after date of Substantial Completion. <br />B. Replacement sod under this guarantee shall be guaranteed for twelve months from the <br />date of installation. <br />C. Repair damage to other plants during sod replacement at no cost to the Owner. <br />PART2- PRODUCTS <br />W111 .16117 <br />A. American Sod Producers Association (ASPA) Grade: Nursery Grown or Approved. <br />Field grown sod is not acceptable. <br />B.
