RESOLUTION NO. 2016- 2431 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br /> OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, RATIFYING THE <br /> AGREEMENT WITH MIAMI CHRISTMAS LIGHTS TO <br /> INSTALL HOLIDAY LIGHTS AND DECORATIONS AT <br /> HERITAGE PARK AND OTHER RELATED SERVICES, IN`A <br /> TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED NINETY- <br /> FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($195,000.00) FOR A DURATION • <br /> OF THREE (3) YEARS, ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS <br /> NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; <br /> PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City wishes to employ Miami Christmas Lights, a qualified seasonal <br /> decor firm, to install holiday lights and decorations at Heritage Park as well as other services; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Miami Christmas Lights is qualified, willing and able to provide the desired <br /> services on the terms and conditions set forth herein; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City desires to enter into an Agreement with Miami Christmas Lights to <br /> provide the Services Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000.00) for Fiscal Year 2016/2017, Sixty-Five <br /> , Thousand Dollars ($65,000.00) for Fiscal Year 2017-2018, and Seventy Thousand Dollars <br /> ($70,000.00) for Fiscal Year 2018-2019 bringing the total contract amount not to exceed to One <br /> Hundred Ninety-Five Thousand Dollars ($195,000.00); and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to approve the Agreement with Miami <br /> Christmas Lights to install holiday lights and decorations at Heritage Park as well as other <br /> ' services, in a total amount not to exceed One Hundred Ninety-Five Thousand Dollars <br /> ($195,000.00), attached hereto as Exhibit"A". <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Ratify the Agreement. The City Commission hereby ratifies the Agreement with <br /> Miami Christmas Lights to install holiday lights and decorations at Heritage Park as well as other <br /> services, in a total amount not to exceed One Hundred Ninety-Five Thousand Dollars <br /> ($195,000.00) for a duration of three (3) years, attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br /> Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br /> things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br /> Section 3. Effective Date.
