PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Action: Vice Mayor Gatto gave opening remarks. 3. PUBLIC HEARING ON THE MILLAGE RATE AND BUDGET 3A. Millage Resolution (Public Hearing) A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach of Miami-Dade, County, Florida, Establishing the City of Sunny Isles Beach Ad Valorem Tax Millage Levy Rate at 2.4000 Mills per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) of Taxable Assessed Value Which is 5.06% More than the "Rolled Back" Rate of 2.2844 Mills, for Fiscal Year 2016/2017; Providing for an Effective Date. (First Hearing September 6, 2016; Second Hearing September 15, 2016) Action: [City Clerk's Note: Item 3A was heard with related item 3B.] Deputy City Clerk Betancur read the title, and Finance Director Audra Curts-Whann reported. Public Speakers: None Commissioner Aelion moved and Commissioner Levin seconded a motion to approve the resolution. Resolution No. 2016-2578A was adopted by a voice vote of 4-0-1 [Mayor Scholl absent] in favor.
