Baglieri <br />SUBJECT: <br />Beach Access Signs <br />PROJECT: <br />03- 4122.E - Bid No. 06 -01 -02 <br />CC: <br />File <br />Regarding RFI from Bidder please be advise of the following: <br />Memorandum <br />1) What is the gauge of the aluminum 4" post and the 6" dia. welded base? <br />Response: 125 " for post (standard extruded post) and .125 "for the fabricated <br />6 "dia base. <br />2) How do you access the cotter pin if it is underground? <br />Response: Since all of these posts are to be placed on a beach and in sand, the <br />primary reason is for hurricane removal option and to prevent the wrong people <br />from removing the units. If the City desires to removes these signs, the cotter <br />pin is the most economic solution. <br />3) Do you have a detail for showing the attachment of the sign panel to the post? <br />Response: No. <br />Signs in Miami -Dade must meet the 150mph wind load requirement. This <br />"attachment" can be designedl engineered during the "Shop Drawing" stage, <br />by the selected fabricator.
