(CGA) is pleased to submit this statement of <br />qualifications to provide Landscape Architectural Services for the City of Sunny Isles <br />Beach (City). <br />Our 68 years of experience and diverse support staff allow us the flexibility to develop and <br />design a wide range of award - winning landscape architectural projects for both municipal <br />and private- sector projects. In fact, in 2003 alone, CGA's Landscape Architecture Group <br />won five awards. Despite this achievement, CGA has not lost touch with the realities of <br />budgets and timeframes and serves all types of municipal clients, both large and small with <br />equal attention to detail and to the bottom line. <br />Our landscape staff includes three (3) registered landscape architects, five (5) landscape <br />designers, four (4) landscape inspectors, two (2) environmental specialists, and one (1) <br />environmental inspector. Our landscape staff includes three (3) certified arborists. With <br />such diverse and experienced personnel, the City can be assured of sufficient and qualified <br />personnel to manage this project. As Project Manager and point of contact, I will be <br />dedicated to assigning the most qualified personnel to each project and ensuring that all <br />team members perform their tasks to meet the schedule and budget set for the project. <br />We are well qualified to handle this project for the City in that we have landscape <br />architectural experience in every aspect of municipal work that includes park landscape <br />design, landscaping for public works and utilities facilities, and roadway /median <br />beautification. In the roadway /median work, we do the landscape design work keeping both <br />the vision of the municipal clients and the requirements of other governing agencies such as <br />the Florida Department of Transportation requirements in balance. <br />Because CGA is a full- service engineering, planning, surveying, and landscape architecture <br />firm, nearly any unforeseen challenge during a project can be brought in -house immediately <br />for a quick solution. This translates into saved time and cost to the City. We have found <br />that often a landscape architectural project requires civil and traffic engineering, <br />drainage /irrigation engineering, site planning, graphics /charrettes, permitting, surveying, <br />environmental assessment, and construction management services.
