With over 40 -years of experience within the Dade - Broward area, assisting nearby communities and municipalities, we are excited to prepare this informational package in response to the City's Request for Qualifications for Landscape Architectural Services. Landscape architectural enhancements to the City's existing roadways, open spaces and community facilities establish a strong sense of community as well as improve the safety and enjoyment of these spaces. Miller Legg's landscape architects have assisted numerous I' communities including Sunny Isles Beach, to improve their aesthetics, enhance recreational opportunities and increase economic viability. ' Miller Legg's work with Sunny Isles Beach has included the City's new Active Park. We have assisted the City in securing funding through the FRDAP grant process to acquire and improve this project. We have also worked with the City to establish the programming for this multi -use facility. After the funding and program elements were established, Miller Legg developed the final designs for this exciting project and is currently assisting the City with construction observation services for it. ' In addition to Miller Legg's award - winning design skills, we have assisted numerous municipalities in landscape architectural review services. These municipalities include Miramar, Coral Springs and Davie. Review services are a very unique skill that requires familiarity with ' land development codes and the professional capability to interpret these codes. Our landscape architectural staff has established processes that will allow us to expeditiously perform these review services for Sunny Isles Beach. ' Ron Rollins, R.L.A., will serve as the Project Manager and Landscape Architect. Ron has over 14 years of design and management experience and has served as Project Landscape ' Architect for numerous streetscape, park, and dune restoration projects.
