RESOLUTION NO. 2016-it,51 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 14-Z-149 TO EXTEND THE TIME PERIOD TO OBTAIN A BUILDING PERMIT BY CHABAD LUBAVITCH RUSSIAN CENTER OF SOUTH FLORIDA, INC., (THE "APPLICANT") FOR THE PROJECT ENTITLED "488 & 500 SUNNY ISLES" LOCATED AT 488 & 500 SUNNY ISLES BOULEVARD IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 265-11 (L) OF THE CITY CODE; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE CITY ATTORNEY TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Applicant has requested an extension of time to pull a building permit in accordance with Resolution No. 14-Z-149, adopted on December 18, 2014; and WHEREAS, the Applicant's zoning approval is set to expire on December 18, 2016 and the Applicant has stated good grounds for the extension request; and • WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to approve the request for extension and extends the zoning approval issued under Resolution No. 14-Z-149 to December 18, 2017. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approval of Extension Request. Pursuant to Section 265-11(L) of the City Code, the City Commission hereby approves the request for extension submitted by the Applicant, Chabad Lubavitch Russian Center of South Florida, Inc., and extends the zoning approval issued under Resolution No. 14-Z-149 to December 18, 2017. Section 2. Authority of the City Manager and City Attorney. The City Commission authorizes the City Manager and City Attorney to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. Section 3.
