1 <br />Computerized Braille 2 translations of sign copy to be the responsibility of the <br />Fabricator. <br />J. Finishes <br />All paint finishes tobe Powdercoated satin /eggshell finish not to exceed 18% <br />gloss. <br />Tiger Drylac USA as applied by SAF or Equivalent Finish on exposed <br />surfaces. <br />1) Electrostatic applied polyester powder coating based on Tiger - Drylac <br />USA, Inc., TIGER -Drylac Series 28 Powder Coating applied by Southern <br />Aluminum Finishing Co, Inc. or equivalent. <br />SINCE ALL UNITS WILL BE PLACED ALONG SEASHORE, Use the <br />following Powder coating application procedure: <br />Finish coat: Two coats of powder coating based on Polyester for <br />I commercial architecture. Coat twice to obtain minimum 3.5 -5 mils <br />thickness on edges and corners. <br />2) Cure first coat between 392'F (200'C) for 5 minutes and 3567 (180'C) <br />for 10 minutes. <br />3) Cure second coat between 392'F (200'C) for 22 minutes and 3567 <br />(180'C) for 35 minutes.3) Measure temperature at substrate. <br />2.02 Fabrication of Signs and Supports <br />1 05/06 <br />1 <br />A. Quantities <br />Sign fabricator to co- ordinate with Client for the delivery and safe storage of <br />all signs. <br />B. General <br />Provide custom manufactured sign assemblies, components completely <br />fabricated and finished at factory before delivery to site. Construct to accurate <br />detail and dimensions as shown and as reviewed on shop drawings. Fit and <br />assemble the Work at the shop to the greatest extent possible and mark the <br />components as required to facilitate assembly during installation. Exposed <br />fasteners on finished faces will not be allowed, unless specifically indicated. <br />Waviness and oil canning of surfaces is not acceptable. Minimum material <br />thickness is to be 1/8" unless otherwise noted or accepted by Designer /Client. <br />C. Lettering <br />Letterforms having rounded positive and negative corners, nicked, cut, or <br />ragged edges are not acceptable. Align letterforms to maintain a baseline <br />parallel to the sign format. Maintain margins as indicated on Drawings. <br />5 03-4122.E <br />
